About Philip clay
Philip Clay is dedicated to serving Hoosiers and eager to bring this devotion to the Indiana State Senate. He’s a father, husband, community leader, and small business owner. He grew up right here in the district in Plainfield.
Philip’s first priority is and will always be his family. He and his wife Madison are blessed with a two-year old son, Max. He’s running for Senate to see that his family and his community are safe, prosperous, and excited for all that the future holds.
Freedom for family, faith, enterprise, self-defense, and community matters are his top priorities.
A recipient of the 2022 RNC Rising Star award, Philip represents strong Conservative values for his leadership and activism throughout the region. Determined to serve, Philip is an active participant in the Indiana Leadership Forum and an alum of the 2022 Indiana Republican Diversity Series. Through these roles, he learned firsthand the importance of conservative values and leadership.
Dedicated to give back to his hometown, he co-founded Arthur Clay and Company – an organization dedicated to fill the gap between education and the workforce. This organization focuses on assisting minority men in their personal and professional
lives through professional development, mentorship, and networking. Additionally, he is also a member of Project 21, an entity of the National Center for Public Policy Research that provides the perspective of black conservatives.
Philip is a prominent leader in his community. As President of the Redevelopment Commission for the Town of Plainfield, he promotes growth and development for the district. He is also an active member with the Kiwanis Club of Plainfield.

FOR PUBLIC SAFETY
The explosion of crime in Indianapolis is unacceptable. Philip Clay will fight to make our district safer. That means action. That means ensuring our police, firefighters, EMTs, and all our first responders have the resources they need. No more coddling criminals. No more excuses.
For Parents’ Rights
Philip Clay will empower parents to get involved in their children’s education. He’ll make sure parents’ opinions on school policies and curricula are heard. Philip also supports school choice so parents can find the schools and teaching styles that meet the needs of their children.
For Life & Adoption Reform
Philip Clay is proudly pro-life. He’ll defend the unborn and our laws that protect the sanctity of life. Philip will work to reform our adoption system so it’s simpler, faster, and more reliable. This will save thousands of babies and help them find love and safety in the adoptive families’ homes.
For Career Training
Indiana’s economy is booming. We’re seeing record investments in development – but many Hoosiers aren’t trained to fill the jobs being created. Let’s change that. Philip supports initiatives to equip workers with the skills they need to succeed in rapidly changing industries.
